Question:
Good morning, I currently have a 6x10 utility trailer that the wheel bearings went out on. But one side the nut wiped out the threads and the axle is also bent so im thinking its time for an axle. So Ive been searching google and multiple sites. My current hub is 5x5.5. and no complete axle ive found comes with that hub. And I dont want to spend the money on a whole kit with new wheels and tires. Ive found on your site you have hubs 5x5.5, part number AKIHUB-555-35-EZ-K im curious if you could lead me to the correct axle that those hubs would fit so i could potentially just get a new axle and hubs. or do you have axle with the hubs i need. just a 3500lbs non brake axle. thank you!

Hello Jason, thanks for reaching out. The 5 on 5-1/2" hubs are pretty uncommon these days, so I am not surprised to hear that there are no complete axles that come with them.
The Easy Grease Trailer Idler Hub Assembly # AKIHUB-555-35-EZ-K you mentioned will fit any standard 3,500 lb axle. The hub uses the # L68149 (1.378" inner diameter) inner bearing and # L44649 (1.063" inner diameter) outer bearing which is standard for the 3,500 lb axles.
We offer a few compatible axles, like the # e53GR which is 89" long and the # e38GR which is 89" long. Both axles are compatible with the # AKIHUB-555-35-EZ-K hubs, it just depends what length of axle you need.
Feel free to reach out if there is anything else I can do to help.

Hey Jason, how did things go with the new axle and the 5 on 5-1/2 hubs for your trailer? Were you able to get everything matched up with one of the 3,500 lb axles? Your update could make it easier for others trying to keep their same wheel setup.
