Replacement Upgraded Tire Size to Replace a 5.30-12 Tire on a 1987 Jayco Pop-Up Camper

Question:
What is a better brand/model of tire to replace the two tires which I presently have on my 1987 Jayco 1006SG Deluxe pop-up camper? I have been purchasing Carlisle 5.30-12, load range C 80 PSI, and would like to know if there is a better/heavy-duty/ballsier tire that I could buy for replacements. What you would recommend, and, what the load range is, and the recommended PSI.......

I would go with an ST145-R12 Load Range E tire to replace your current 5.30-12 tires. This is a tire size that is slightly wider and taller than what you currently have that has higher capacities and are available in radials which are better than bias-plies.
For a tire I would go with the Karrier S-Trail ST145/R12 Radial Trailer Tire - Load Range E # AM10140. This tire has a 1,520 lb capacity when inflated to 80 psi. At the maximum air pressure, the tires will perform and wear best, and get the best gas mileage.
If a trailer tire is inflated to a lower air pressure than the maximum, the amount of weight that the tire can carry will be reduced. If a heavier load is put on the trailer tire than what is recommended for that air pressure, the sidewall of the tire could heat up and cause the tire to fail.
