Can Horizontal Propane Regulator be Mounted Vertically and Vice Versa

Question:
Hello, I may have been duped. My local RV shop sold me a horizontal regulator and said it would be find mounting it vertically in the place of the bad vertical regulator. I mounted it and it works... but, did I just get duped into buying whatever they had to sell? He didnt have any vertical models in stock. I had an almost new Chinese Cheng Fong 2080 go bad, and he sold me one that was 2x what this cost. Thanks,

Hey Joe, it's not ideal and in the future could be a problem. If the drain on the regulator isn't mounted properly the condensation will not drain properly and it will get clogged.

Hey Joe, how has the horizontal regulator been working since you mounted it vertically? Your update could make it easier for others who run into the same situation with their propane setup.
