Question:
I have a 2002 Chevy Express Explorer 1500 Van. Im looking at the Curt hitch C13040 I see in the description that it does not fit cutaway chassis models. How do I determine if that pertains to my vehicle or not?

If you're driving a regular full-size van and not a van front end that's been turned into a camper or an RV you're good. Just looking at pictures online the 2002 Chevy Express Explorer 1500 Van isn't a cutaway model.
The Curt Trailer Hitch item # 13040 has been confirmed to fit your 2002 Chevy Express Explorer 1500 Van. It is custom fit and bolts to your vehicle with included hardware. This is a class III hitch with a 2" receiver. It has a 6,000 lbs towing capacity and a 600 lbs maximum tongue weight.
I have linked an installation video below to help you get it set up.
If you are planning on towing you will also need a wiring harness item # C55377 and a ball mount kit item # C45534.
