Will The Curt Air Ride 5th Wheel Pin Box LC158778 Fit A 2024 Grand Design Influence?

will the curt flex air 5th wheel pin fit on my 2024 Grand Design Influence? If not what would you recommend?

Hello Mike, thanks for reaching out. The Curt Air Ride 5th Wheel Pin Box # LC158778 will fit your 2024 Grand Design Influence provided it is currently equipped with the Lippert 1621 or 1621HD pin box. There is no way to look up your camper to know what pin box is has, so this is something you will need to verify. There should be a sticker on your pin box that has a model number and serial number and if you can provide me with these numbers I can verify the pin box size. If no sticker is present you can use the guide I linked below to determine your pin box size.

The only sticker on the pin box has this s/n S011576000 RPO-0011924652 LCI item number 2023055505 chassis MFG Date 4/9/2024 Is this a Lippert 1621 or 1621HD pin box?

@MikeK I had Lippert run the SN and found that your pin box is the Lippert Rhino box which uses its own unique bolt pattern. Curt does not make an air ride replacement for this, but we do have a shock absorbing pin box option for you. Take a look at the Gen-Y Hitch Shock Absorbing 5th Wheel Pin Box # GY78GR. This is made to replace the Lippert Rhino box and it uses torsion rubber to absorb shock. So you get the improved ride of an air ride pin box without the hassle and maintenance of an air bag system. Note that this pin box model is made for trailers with a pin weight between 2,500 lbs - 4,500 lbs. If you can tell me your GVWR of your 5th wheel I can confirm your pin weight and make sure you get the right model. Or you can just take your GVWR and multiply it by 0.22 and that will give you an accurate approx. pin weight. Let me know if you have any other questions.

16800 is the GVWR The spec sheet says hitch 2670 so I believe that pin box would work

@MikeK Yes, the # GY78GR I mentioned above will be the correct model based on your GVWR. The Gen-Y pin boxes are great. The torsion rubber will make a noticeable difference in ride quality. Overall they are just super durable. Made here in the USA too.
