Question:

Hello. I have a 1996 Jayco 1206 and I’m wanting to replace the axle and also put a lift kit on it. I would like to stick with the same axle it has which is the Dexter Torflex. I’m just confused because the tag on my Toflex axle says 2400 lbs capacity. But when I search axles the 9 is rated at 2000 lbs. and the 10 is 3000. Is there a Torflex axle that has the 2400 lb capacity? Thanks! Gary

Gary, I know it's a bit confusing but you do have the number 10 Torlfex axle. The number 10 Torflex axle has a 2,300 to 4,000 lb capacity range, which yours falls within.

That said, for a lift kit you can use the Torflex Lift Kit # K71-707-01. If you wanted to replace the axle, you'd need to measure the hub face to face and spring seat center to center and let me know what those come out to.
