Hey Stan, with the heaters like the # KH11465 Kat's does recommend coating the o-ring with NSCG silicone grease G-624. We have white lithiuim grease that would work great for this with part number # L11354.

Jameson, thanks for the reply and the information,( I also did some research of my own while waiting for your reply and will share what I learned so we both can learn something maybe! ) so basically NSCG silicone grease G-624. is a NON Petroleum-Based Lube! and not like White lithium grease at all, ?? due to from my research and my understanding of it, the rubber O ring is NOT supposed to be coated with a Petroleum-Based lube, which, White Lithium grease is!, It IS a Petroleum-Based lube) And the reason WHY Petroleum-Based lubes should NOT be used, is they can break down the rubber O ring over time, so I hate to say it, but I think your recommendation is, wrong here! NO offence meant YES it would work to make it slide in easier, but it has a risk of eating away the O ring as time passes. which isn't what one wants to have happen if preventable Certain dielectric grease ARE non Petroleum based lubes, but not all, SO< just a heads up, on things I thank you for your time and reply
