In-Bed Camper Tire-Down Kit Recommendation for a 2000 Ford F-450

Updated 09/05/2024 | Published 08/31/2024

Question:

I have a 2000 Ford Centurion F450 double cab dually pickup with the 7.3 diesel engine. It has the running boards cab length and an aftermarket class 5 hitch. Although Ford never made a F450 double cab pickup that year, Centurion used Ford components and mated a F450 cab chassis to a F350 Ford pick up box. They moved the box rearwards about 4 inches to accommodate the longer F450 frame and rear wheel position. I am looking for a TorkLift front and rear tie-down system for my Lance 835 camper. None are listed directly as being a recommended fit. What possibilities exist?

Hey Rod, thanks for reaching out!

For your application I recommend using the HappiJac Camper Tie-Downs # LC182910-182971 because we don't have any TorkLift options for your 2000 Ford F-450 or even an F-350 for that matter.

The HappiJac kit installs a little differently, as it installs in your truck bed as opposed to the frame underneath the bed, but it will still get the job done for you.
