Hitch Solution for 1979 Subaru Brat

Question:
I am not finding a trailer hitch for my 1979 Subaru Brat so, I wish to inquire if this 1979 Jeep CJ-5 Trailer Hitch might be a substitute? If you have any other suggestion, I would be interested in hearing it. I only wish to tow my 15-foot aluminum fishing boat. I am considering this so I can sell my 1999 Dodge Dakota 8 ft. bed Pickup Truck as I no longer need such a large vehicle now that I am retired. I just want to go fishing near my home in Marine City, MI 48039

For older vehicles like what you have the hitch availability is pretty limited. I wish we had something we could recommend as a fit or a substitute that might work but we don't have anything like that at this time. Best option would be to find a local welder/fabricator in your area and have them see if they can come up with a hitch solution.
If you want a hitch opening to start with you could use the part # E17.
