Hey Brian, thanks for reaching out!

Your 2012 Honda Pilot has a unibody frame and according to page 544 of your owner's manual Honda doesn't recommend you use on either.

Since this is the case, I recommend installing the Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System # THROD2 as an alternative way to help out with any sag you might get from trailer towing.

@BrianS For sway control you'll have 2 different options; a traditional friction sway control like the Curt # 17200 which comes in the Kit # C57DR, or an electric sway control like the Curt True Course # C94VV that activates the brakes slightly to help correct sway. The friction sway control is more cost-effective, but it is one that you have to disengage in order to back up so that's a trade-off you'll have to take into account.
