Question:

We have 2022 Crusader 5th wheel 37’ Can we use an 2” adapter on the hitch, it is only 1 1/4” for our e-bikes? or do we have to spend double on a bike rack? That is made for 1 1/4” hitch? Max weight is 150lb

Hey Patti, so the problem with hitch adapters is that they cut the capacity of the hitch they are installed in by 50 percent which is not ideal for the 1-1/4 inch hitch size that normally has lower capacities. So what that means is that using a hitch adapter with an e-bike rack at the rear of an RV is a pretty bad idea and you'd be best served with an e-bike rack that is RV approved and also designed for your hitch size like the Yakima OnRamp par # Y28DJ that you referenced.
