Question:

I need both springs and complete replacement parts for a continental aluminum boat trailer vim 1ZJBB1813HM103423. I noticed the axel is 3500lb. Can I get more stronger springs because my trailer has completely straighten the old ones out? What parts do you recommend?

Thanks for the information Mike but I can not pull up specific information based on your vin number. I am going to need you to jack your trailer up on one side and take a measurement. If you could comment below with the distance between the center of the eye holes on your leaf springs I would be able to recommend the correct part.

Additionally, adding stronger springs won't necessarily make them last any longer. It will however stiffen up your suspension and cause your trailer to be rougher to handle. I recommend sticking with a 3,500 lbs capacity leaf spring if that's what capacity your axle is.

Hey Mike, were you able to get that eye-to-eye measurement on your trailer’s leaf springs? Once you have it, I can help you find the right replacement parts. Let me know what you find so we can narrow it down.
