Why Doesn't Dexter Suspension Upgrade Kit come with 6 Bushings

Question:
Hello fine E-trailer folks, Why does K71-358-00 only have 4 bushings? It comes with 6 wet boltswhich is whats needed for a single axle. What am I missing? Im working on a 2022 Gulf Stream Vista Cruiser 19RBS single 4000lb axle. The springs are sagging and squeaking. I typically have 3700-3800lbs on the rear axle with the WDH engaged. I plan to purchase EM66AJ springs and purchase a wet bolt kit also. I suppose I can purchase a MR76ZR and have some extra bushings. Im open to recommendations.

Hey Ryan, the reason the Dexter Heavy Duty Suspension Upgrade Kit for Single Axle Trailers # K71-358-00 that you referenced only comes with 4 bushings is because the bushings only install in the leaf springs. The additional wet bolts of this kit that don't use a bushing are the ones that attach to the rear hanger.

On the one that doesn’t use a bronze bushing. I welded in a steel sleeve so I could grease the top wet bolt.

Hey Ryan, I wondered the same thing about the bushings, then realized what Jameson Clark answered you. So I ordered 2 extra bushings with my upgrade kit for the fixed spring hangers. Grind the bushings a little shorter if necessary so they fit the fixed hanger well. Add grease and they any solve noise and handling concerns. Excellent products and assistance from e-Trailer. You will be well satisfied AFTER pulling your trailer with upgraded suspension components down the road.
