I looking at curtis spectrum controller for 2008 FJ Cruiser, if dozen of model which is correct for my Toyota. with the remote knob, as the dash is to low for a hanging controller. thanks

Hey Joseph, yes you can use the Curt Spectrum # C99GV with your 2008 Toyota FJ, but the custom wiring adapter included with the Curt Spectrum # C99GV you're looking at won't work. This wiring adapter is designed to be used with select Infinity, and Nissan vehicles, which is why it won't work. You'd be better off using the standard Curt Spectrum # C51170 which includes the universal harness.
It looks like the all of the harnesses for your FJ are going to be universal, so you're going to have to splice into your OEM wiring.
