Updated 08/09/2024 | Published 08/07/2024

Question:

I am looking for towing acc for my 2019 Honda Pilot. I just bought a pop up camper. I was curious if there are helper springs or air shocks to help level the vehicle when towing. the rear sits a little low. I also need a trailer brake controller for electric brakes, a 7 and 4 pin combo plug, mirror extensions and a 12 volt solar charger. any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks in advance.

Hey James, for your 2019 Honda Pilot it looks like the only suspension help we offer is the Coil SumoSprings Custom Helper Springs for Coil Spring Suspension # CSS-1125F for the front axle.

These springs are designed to work with your suspension system to help level your truck, as well as reduce body roll for a more stable experience.

For a brake controller I'd recommend going with the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 # 90195. This brake controller is compatible with up to 4 axles, will work electric or electric over hydraulic brakes, and has big and accessible buttons for easy operating.

Next, for a 4 pole and 7 way, you're first going to need to install the Curt Powered Tail Light Converter with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # C59236 which splices into your existing wiring, and then from here you can add your 7-way with # ETBC7.

Moving onto the tow mirrors, I'd recommend going with the K-Source Universal Towing Mirrors # KS69ZR. I've actually installed and used these before, and I really liked how easy it was to put on and the extra visibility I got compared to the others.

Lastly, for a solar charger, I'd recommend checking out the 2.5-Watt Solar Battery Charger # PTW2997. This is a compact 2.5 watt panel that will work fine for all of your 12v needs, includes a 12v plug and alligator battery clips, and uses 4 suction cups for easy mounting.
