Question:
I need spindles for a boat trailer one and a half square
asked by: Dave A
Expert Reply:
Dave, the only two square spindles we have are the Square #84 Spindle for 3,500-lb Trailer Axles # TRU47FR and the Square BT8 Spindle for 2,000-lb Trailer Axles # TRU97FR.
To figure out which one you have, you're going to need to pop your hubs off and find the part numbers for the bearings which should be stamped on them.
If you're running a L68149 inner, L44649 outer, and a 58846 grease seal then you're using #84 spindles. If you're using a L44643 inner, L44643 outer, and 34823 for the grease seal, then you're using BT8 spindles.

Hey Dave, what did you find after checking the bearing and seal numbers on your boat trailer hubs? Knowing which spindle matched up could help others trying to identify their setup. Your update could make it easier for the next person with the same issue.
