Recommended WDS for a 2024 Jeep Wagoneer L Towing a 6,000 lb Trailer

Question:
Hello, We have a 2024 Wagoneer L with max tow package that has a 9,850lb towing capacity. We want to use it to tow our travel trailer that has a UVW of 6,741 lbs, max of 7700 lbs, and it states teh hitch weight is 790 lbs. I am not sure if that is the hitch weight when its unloaded at the 6,741 lbs but i would assume so. What WDH would you recommend for a trailer of this size? I currently have one rated at 800lbs hitch weight but I think its probably not enough based on the stats even though Camping World said it was ok.

Cody, that system you have could work but if it were me I'd suggest getting a WDS that puts your total tongue weight somewhere closer to the middle.
Something like the Reese Pro Round Bar Weight Distribution w/ Sway Control # RE44FR is what I'd lean towards. This system has a tongue weight range of 600 to 1,150 lbs which puts your tongue weight closer to the middle.

Hey Cody, how did things go with the Reese Pro Round Bar weight distribution setup for your Wagoneer and trailer? It sounds like that range should have put your tongue weight right in the sweet spot. Sharing how it performed could help others towing similar trailers.
