Recommended 7-Way, 4-Way, and 5-Way Combo Trailer Connector for a 2005 Lexus LX470

Question:

I have a 2005 Toyota LandCruiser with a broken 7 blade connector. It connected to a female 8 blade connector that connects to the vehicle with a 8 pin blade male connector. I have pictures of both. This is a picture of the male connector coming from the vehicle. Im interested in replacing the 7 blade with a combo 7 blade - 4/5 pin trailer connector. Do I need to ditch the existing vehicle male connector and splice the wiring or find a female 8 pin connector that will fit? thanks, KC

KC, I'd still replace the factory 4 way with # C55245, but then swap the 7 way you have with the Hopkins Endurance Multi-Tow 7-, 5- and 4-Way Flat Trailer Connector # HM48470.

Bryce - Thanks for the reply! I added pictures of the following: - 7/8 blade male that is connected to the trailer - with a 7 blade female extension going into the 7 blade trailer connector. Will the 4 blade female work with the 7 pin male that goes to the vehicle? I checked the fit guide with my 2005 landcruiser and it said "NOT CONFIRMED TO FIT 2005 Toyota Land Cruiser". Sorry for the confusion, this is my first time wiring for a trailer. KC

Bryce - follow up question. I have a 7 blade male coming from the vehicle: (Picture) https://drive.google.com/file/d/12wIzPGaVK_fagHUalUDVk5rISki7FyvB/view?usp=sharing and the 7 blade connector that went to the trailer was damaged: (Picture) https://drive.google.com/file/d/130D_Kv2bOjyb6j8m6DPEYk3YIf8g5eKj/view?usp=sharing Does e-trailer have a suggested replacement for the damaged female part? I was hoping to not have to rewire into the vehicle. thanks! KC
