Is it correct that the gtw for this hitch is only 2000 lbs? Other references say 3500 lbs

Good catch, and I checked directly with EcoHitch for you and found the EcoHitch Stealth Trailer Hitch Receiver # 306-X7201 has a 4,000 lb towing capacity and 400 lb tongue weight capacity.
