Question:
With the ecohitch installed, I dont have enough clearance to attach safety chains to the attachment points. Do you have a recommendation for an aftermarket solution?

I reached out to my contact at EcoHitch to see if they have seen this issue before with the EcoHitch # 306-X7201 on your Tesla and if they have any suggestions. My contact did say that the Tesla rear bumper has quite a bit of tolerance from the factory, so it's something they occasionally see but more often there's enough clearance available to hook up safety chains.
With that being said, clearance is obviously an issue for you based on the picture you attached. My contact said they have seen customers use a set of loop extensions like the Roadmaster 8" # RM-910648-8 that they attach to the chain loops on the hitch. Your safety chains could then be hooked to the extension that drapes down from the hitch.
The cable extensions should hopefully small enough to fit within the limited clearance you have around the chain loops on the hitch. Please just let me know if this won't work and I will be happy to look into this further.
