Replacing Trailer Leaf Spring With 25-1/2" Measurement Bolt Hole To Bolt Hole
Updated 07/15/2024 | Published 07/06/2024 >
Question:
Im looking at replacing both 1-leaf on my trailer. The current ones measure 25 1/2. Im guessing thats do to being under load for over 6 years. Im going to replace them with your 1-Leaf Double-Eye Spring for 6,000-lb Trailer Axles - 25-1/4 Long. Does this sound right or is there a 25-1/2 leaf.

Hey Mike, you are correct in ordering the 1-Leaf Double-Eye Spring for 6,000-lb Trailer Axles - 25-1/4" Long # e46SR. In order to measure your current worn out leaf springs, you should lift the trailer off the ground to take away any strain on the suspension and measure from bolt eye to bolt eye. If this is what you did and you came up with 25-1/2", then 25-1/4" # e46SR is definitely what I would go with. It is very usual for leaf springs to measure slightly over the factory length after getting worn out.
