Can a 4-Leaf Trailer Leaf Spring be Used in Place of a 3-Leaf Spring

If my current spring is 3 leaf can I replace it with a 4 leaf?

Expert Reply:
Yes, you can use 4-leaf springs in place of 3 leaf springs. The extra height of an additional leaf is minimal and won't really affect anything on the trailer. Provided that the springs used are replaced in pairs and not just one side of the trailer and they are the right length and capacity for the trailer you will be good to go.

Kitchen side of my TT is heavier and flattens out springs quicker. In this case would it be ok to have a pair of springs with one more leaf just on that side?
