The measurement for the Pole-Tongue Adapter # EQ95-01-5950 to sit 27"-32" is taken from the rear of the coupler ball cavity. This is where the back of the hitch ball will sit in the coupler.

Hey, did measuring from the rear of the coupler ball cavity clear up the placement for your pole-tongue adapter? Knowing how that worked out could help others trying to get the same setup right.
