Question:

Hi, I have been unsuccessful in trying to find a replacement trigger lock for this trailer. Shelby 5101 Class 3 2” ball 5,000 lb It’s not a straight hitch, it seems like it has a 1” approximately . Can you provide me with a part number or an address that I can send a picture to. Thank you

Hi Brad; the reason you are unable to find a replacement trigger latch/repair kit for your Shelby 5101 is because they went out of business years ago. Replacement parts like the one you're looking for haven't been available for a long time. The best solution is to replace the entire coupler. The most common replacement for the Shelby 5101 is the # CA5100B (black) or # CA-5100-Z (zinc finish).

Hey Brad, did the replacement coupler end up working well for your trailer? Knowing how the fit turned out could help others trying to replace their old Shelby 5101 couplers.
