Is Just Pin Available From Flint Hill Goods Locking Hitch Pin

Updated 02/03/2026 | Published 06/26/2024

Question:

I have a 2 1/2 locking hitch pin that is working great, but the chrome shaft is rusting. I tried to clean it with rust buster but it will not clean up. What is the warranty, and can I get a replacement shaft? Thanks

Hey Jesse, thanks for reaching out!

The Flint Hill Goods Locking Hitch Pin # FHG63VR doesn't have a warranty, and if it did I doubt it would cover rust as it's pretty rare for rust to be covered under any warranty.

Just the pin isn't available by itself so you'll need to replace the whole locking pin.

I'm not seeing an order from you for this specific pin, so you might want to check with the manufacturer of the pin you have to double check on that warranty.

Hey Jesse, were you able to check with the manufacturer about the warranty on your locking hitch pin? Knowing what you found could help others dealing with the same rust issue.

@JesseH Yea you're right the chrome ones shouldn't rust but I've found those and even the zinc coated ones can rust eventually - especially if they get used a lot. A stainless pin like part # e98882 or Curt # C23519 will have superior rust resistance compared to plated pins.
