What else is recommended for installation of the Orion XS? Approximately how long does it take?

Hey Stacey! To install the Victron Orion XS DC/DC RV Converter # VN93VR you will need appropriately sized wire and fuses. Victron recommends 16 mm² / 6 AWG (13.3 mm²) cable if the distance is less than 5 meters, and 4 AWG (21.2 mm²) if it is 5-10 meters. They also recommend two 60-70A fuses, one on the input and one on the output side of the charger. See the attached photos.
The installation time will vary depending on the exact setup and if you're adding anything else like the SmartShunt # VN92ZR. Victron doesn’t list a specific install time, but for most setups it would typically take around 1-2 hours.
