Question:
I am looking to change my boat trailer hub, bearings and seal. I have a 2002 REMEQ trailer with a 2002 Princecraft boat. I reached out to the trailer manufacture, and they gave me some good information on what I would need to buy, except the seal is not easy to find. I am wondering you have a product that would fit what I need. The following is the information they gave me replace the hub. The hubs are standard, the most important it to choose a 5 studs hub with the same bearing inside 1’’1/16 L44649 with the same seal AF1789. The capacity of the hub is 2000 Lbs. I had three tore blowouts last year in one trip and just want to replace the hub, bearings and seal. I am hoping you have a product I can use. Dennis Poduch

Hello Dennis. We do offer hubs that use the # L44649 inner and outer bearing, like the Easy Grease Trailer Idler Hub # AKIHUB-545-2-G-EZ-2K. This is a 2,000 lb rated hub with the standard 5 on 4-1/2" bolt pattern. This hub comes with bearings, seals, races and lug nuts. It uses a # 10-9 seal which has a 1.987" OD and a 1.5" ID. I was not able to find any references for the seal number AF1789 you provided, so I do suggest you measure your seal to make sure it matches. If you seal is a different size, just let me know and I am happy to see if we have anything for you.

Hey Dennis, did you get a chance to measure your seal and see if the Easy Grease hub ended up matching your trailer setup? Knowing how that fit worked out could really help others replacing similar hubs.
