Question:
I am comparing both of these covers. How water tight is the eTrailer cover vs. the BAKflip? My current hard cover is leaking and ruining things in the bed so I am going to replace it. Also, are both of the quad-fold? How much room is available with both open on a 2008 Ford Ranger? BAK26305 e23DR Thanks!

Hey Mike, thanks for reaching out!
For your application you'll want to go with the Quad-Fold BAKFlip G2 Hard Tonneau Cover # BAK26305 on your 2008 Ford Ranger.
The etrailer Hard Tonneau Cover # e23DR actually doesn't fit your Ranger and we don't have a fit for an '08 Ranger at this point in time.
Even if it did fit, the etrailer cover is a pretty entry-level product so it gets the job done but doesn't look as nice and doesn't operate as smooth. Then when it comes to rain protection; I've asked around and rain protection is fairly equal between both products, but the biggest factor is making sure the installation is done correctly. As long as everything is properly installed and lined up most tonneau covers do a pretty good job at keeping the rain out of the truck bed.

Thanks for the information. My only other question would be, since the Tonneau cover doesn't lock, I will need one for my tailgate handle. I saw one on your site for a plastic tailgate handle, but mine is metal. Do you carry a lock for a metal handle, or maybe a replacement latch that includes a lock?
