I recommend the Autowbrake Electric Brake Controller # 3430001 for your motorcycle trailer. The main brake control unit is going to mount to the trailer and is waterproof so you will not have to worry about it getting wet since most controllers are designed to be in a dry environment. It does have a small fob to adjust the braking pressure but do understand the controller is proportional so it will detect how hard you are braking and adjust the braking force sent to the trailers brakes.

Hey, how did the Autowbrake controller work out on your Gold Wing trailer setup? It sounds like the waterproof design and remote fob could make things easier on the road. Your update could help others looking for a similar motorcycle trailer solution.
