Hi Ronald; in addition to the base plate and tow bar you will need safety cables, wiring, and a supplemental braking system. I recommend the following for your 2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee;

-etrailer Invisible Base Plate Kit # e98950

-etrailer SD Non-Binding Tow Bar # e34ZR (includes safety cables)

-Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit # RM-15267

-Roadmaster Battery Disconnect # RM-766

-Demco Stay-IN-Play Duo # SM99251 (if your RV has hydraulic brakes)

or

-Demco Air Force One # SM99243 (If your RV has air brakes)

More than likely you will also need a high-low adapter to keep you level. I have attached an article below explaining how to measure. I also included a link to all of our available high-low adapters for your reference.

Hey Ronald, how did your flat tow setup for the Grand Cherokee turn out with the base plate and tow bar gear? Your update could make it easier for the next person setting up their Jeep to tow behind a motorhome.
