Question:
Im looking to add some suspension upgrades to my 2022 grand design 295rl. Looking at the Lippert shock setup compared to the sumo springs. Trying to limit some of the rough road and bridge transition bounce on the trailer. The Lippert shocks say 4inch min clearance and Im very close to that. If not a little less with the tire sidewall. It is a Lippert frame with dexter axles. Looking for your opinion. Thanks Jim

Personally Jim, I prefer the SumoSprings Trailer Helper Springs # SS26MV over the Lippert Shock Kit # LC281281. The SumoSprings help to absorb road shock and provide additional support to the suspension. The shocks only work to reduce shock by slowing the rate of travel of the suspension. As you have a tandem axle trailer be sure to order 2 kits.

Hey Jim, how did the SumoSprings work out for smoothing those rough roads and bridge transitions on your trailer? Your results could really help others deciding between helper springs and shock kits for similar setups.
