Question:
Ive bought a fair amount of stuff from your company over the past year or two and Im very satisfied with the stuff and the support ! I want to flat-tow my 1991 YJ Wrangler behind my 30foot Itasca Cambria Class C RV. This looks almost perfect for me, Im a bit of a general handy-man type guy but Im just not a wiring kinda guy....so....no wiring required ! Great ! Heres where I need the help: obviously, this magnetic tail/brake/turn light system has to plug into my factory 6/7 prong electrical receiver on the rear of my RV. Your product appears to have a 4-prong connector piece. Clearly, not compatible. How can I change the 4-prong connector piece that comes already built-in/attached to your lighting system into the 6/7 prong connector that will match-up with my 6/7 prong electrical receiver on my RV? P.S. Ive done some work with Jameson on your team and hes been incredibly helpful over the past year or two....so the pressures on !! :-

Hey David, to make your life as easy as possible I would go with a magnetic lighting kit like the part # PE26UR which has a 4-way flat connector which will allow you to use an adapter like the part # PK12716 and not have to do any wiring or splicing.
To use the part # 337TL257M you'd need to cut off the 4-way round and wire in the part # PK12706 instead.

Good evening Jameson. Nice to hear from you....thanks for picking up my question. First - I actually like to "Heavy Duty" tow light set and wouldn't mind cutting of the 4-way connector and splicing back in the 7-pole (PK12706) if there are some specific instructions along with some diagrams or even better some video click with close-ups to follow so the splicing job would be almost "dummy proof". If that's not possible I will certainly be OK with purchasing the "Basic" tow light kit (PE26UR) along with the ease of using the 7 Pole to 4-way Adaptor (PK12716). Let me know ! Also, I do notice that the "Basic" tow light kit is only 20 ft. long. The 1991 YJ is about 12 ft. long which only leaves about 8 ft. to connect to the rear of the RV. Is that long enough for turns, etc so the connector won't pull out of the RV receiver ?! I'm gonna assume a design engineer already made all those calculations and ran a couple of practical demonstrations ?! Getting back to the Basic Tow kit.....does it come with its own storage box as does the Heavy Duty Kit ? Almost done....I hope you can look this up easily....When I recently bought the Tow Bar assembly for my YJ did it include the 2 safety chains? If not, Give me a couple of suggestions/options. I would rather get safety chains which are about 1.5 times the recommended strength....so if the specs for towing a '91 YJ call for (lets say) 5,000 ld. rated safety chains I think I'll get 7,000 lb. rated chains.....something like that. OK....I'm done for the night and I appreciate your time and energy !! Last question, if I get the Basic tow kit....do you sell the plastic sheeting/covering/casing that goes over/wraps around wiring for a little added protection from the elements? OK....that's it !! I appreciate you time and energy. David Hollis
