Can you put 2 helper leafs on 1 side? And do they go on the upper side or lower side of the leaf springs?

No, you can not and the Hellwig EZ-550 Helper Springs item # HE72FR mount on top of the leaf springs. However, they do not fit a 2012 Nissan Xtrerra. The only option we have for a leaf spring system for your Nissan are the RoadActive Suspension Custom Leaf Spring Enhancement Kit item # RAS4529-XT for 4WD or item # RAS4529-XT for 2WD.
