A-Frame Jack For Camper so Tailgate Can Clear Jack
Updated 05/24/2024 | Published 05/22/2024 >
Question:
I have a RAM 3500 lb Electric Jack on a Wildwood x-lite 273QBXL trailer we just bought. My truck is a 2018 RAM 2500. The jacks head interferes with the tailgate fully opening. We have 3 dogs that need to ride in the back. Big issue. Is there a jack I can purchase that will not interfere with the tailgate? So any help would be immensely appreciated.

Hi Kip,
There is an A-frame jack for your camper that will allow you to fully open the tailgate on your truck so your pups can hop in, though it is not an electric jack, it is the Ultimate Trailer Jack # 322-RDJ-2K.
You would have to go with this manual crank jack as electric jacks just aren't built in a manner that allows them to be low enough for the tailgate to open. I have added a photo a customer was nice enough to send in of the # 322-RDJ-2K underneath a fully open tailgate.
