Recommended Bike Rack For Carrying A Troxus Explorer Step Over And Step Thru E-Bike

Question:

I am looking for a bike rack for my 2018 Chevy Silverado 1500 to accomodate two Troxus Explorer ebikes. One step over and one step thru. Please advise. Thanks.

I looked up your Troxus Explorer bikes and the step thru bike weighs 81.57lbs and the step over weighs 83.78lbs. You will have to remove the 11.5lb batteries to ensure your bike is under the 80lb weight limit per bike of the Yakima OnRamp LX Bike Rack # Y88DJ. I feel this is the best option as it includes a ramp to make loading those heavy bikes into the rack much easier. The attachment arm also allows you to connect to the frame or seat post to hold your bikes in place. And should you need to lower the tailgate on your Silverado the center post does fold down so you will not have to completely remove the bike rack to access your bed.
