Option to Replace Axle With Axle-Less System on PWC Trailer
Published 04/17/2024 >
Question:
Good morning. I need to replace the axle and hubs on my PWC trailer. The current axle is a dexter product dexter s15-sssxl-48.25-37.5-usg. So 48.25 Hub face and 37.5 spring center. I cant find anything similar after lots of searching. Is this something you guys have or have a replacement for? can find? Thanks, in advance, Zack

Hey there Zack, appreciate that info, and we do not offer an axle of that length, and they can be pretty tricky to find. Sometimes people will have to get their axles custom-fabricated at a local fabricator, but I do have an option to consider, which is a Timbren Axle-Less system.
I know it's not specifically what you asked for, but I thought I'd mention it just in case. These are not connected by an axle beam, and instead bolt directly to your trailer frame s you don't need to find an axle with any specific measurements.
You'd just need to know the capacity you need, and for a PWC trailer probably not much. So for example if you had a 2,000 lb axle you could use the 2,000 lb-rated Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension w/ Idler Hubs # A20RS545.
I have added a link below to our selection of these that you can filter through by rating if you need a different capacity.
