Question:

Everchill 12v refrigerator, freezer not staying cold and fluctuates in temperature. Refrigerator seams to be working fine. Any suggestions? Thanks

Hey Patty,

If your Everchill Refrigerator # 324-000119 freezer section isn't staying cold and fluctuates in temperature then the only troubleshooting you'll be able to do is:

1. Check the power and ground at the unit. You should have the ground ran directly to the chassis of the trailer and should see 12 volts when checking the power with a multimeter # PT89ZR.

2. The drain line could be clogged or frozen over. You'll need to unplug the unit, open the doors, and let it thaw out.

3. The back of the unit could be clogged up with dust and not allowing the fridge to breathe. It might not be bad enough to affect the fridge but it could have a hard time keeping up with the demand from the freezer.

If none of these fix the issue then you'll want to reach out to the manufacturer to see if they can diagnose a bad control board and offer replacement.
