Question:

I have a 2020 kia telluride with oem hitch .... i need to go to 7 point with an electronic brake will the etb7L work for this

Yes, it will so long as your 2020 Telluride already has a 4-way connector like item # C59236 or item # CU94FR. The 7-Way RV Upgrade Kit item # ETBC7L requires a functional 4-way to connect to your Telluride.

Please note that the 7-Way RV Upgrade Kit item # ETBC7L will only work with wireless brake controllers like the Curt Echo item # C51180. If you are planning on using a traditional in-cab brake controller like item # 90195 you will need to use the Universal Installation Kit item # ETBC7 instead because it has the blue wire that runs into your cab. This blue wire sends the signal from the controller to your trailer's brakes.

Additionally, you mentioned having an OEM hitch. If your Telluride came from the factory with a 4-way connector it will be a lot easier to install the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness for Factory Tow Package item # C68JR which plugs directly into a port that came with your factory towing package. Thanks for the reply..... since i do have the oem with a 4 way connector should i ordet the curt t C68JR and return the ETBC7. Would the Curt t enable me to use an under dash electronic controller rather than the CURt bluetooth ?

@TomT That's exactly what I would do Tom! Installing the Curt item # C68JR is going to be the way to go. Using it will give you the option to do both actually. Additionally, since your Kia has the factory tow package you can install the Tekonsha P3 item # 90195 using the Tekonsha Plug-In Wiring Adapter item # TK78VR and not have to cut and splice any wires.
