Question:
Does the Curt True Course have a provision for the user to adjust its sensitivity? I would not want my trailers brakes unnecessarily actuated should It be slightly nudged by a passing vehicle/truck at highway speeds. Thanks.

I just checked with my contact at Curt. The Curt True Course # C94VV does not have a provision for the user to adjust its sensitivity. The True Course is more for emergency maneuvers, high winds, semi trucks passing and so on. It is not necessarily designed for minor sway situations that are typically handled by a weight distribution system. The True Course has a built-in motion sensor, so it does not activate until the sensor is moved enough to do so.

how much is “moved enough?”… and does the magnitude of the braking change with the magnitude of the trailer sway event? The Hayes patent (now owned by Curt it seems) calls out multiple thresholds deping on trailer speed and whether the sway is one-way or two-way. I’m trying to understand how this device will change the dynamics of towing, but I’m not getting answers from either etrailer or curt.
