Recommended Shackle Upgrade Kit for a Dexter D35 Axle
Updated 02/28/2024 | Published 02/12/2024 >
Question:
I just put in an order for the K71-358-00 and now Im wondering if I ordered the correct Upgrade kit. The axle is a Dexter D35-01E105 with HF = 86.50 and SC 68.50, single. Hoping for some advice on that.

It looks like the D35 axle is a 3.5K axle so the Dexter Heavy Duty Suspension Upgrade Kit for Single Axle Trailers # K71-358-00 should work fine, you'd just have to measure your current shackle to verify. These shackles measure 4-5/8" long x 1-1/2" wide x 1/2" thick, and measures 3 1/8" between the center of the bolt holes.
If your shackle measures different, let me know what that is, and I'd be happy to find you the correct kit.

The K71-358-00 was exactly what was needed. Did a side by side comparison and the parts will fit my axle. Thanks
