Expert Reply:
Yes, you will have to drill holes in your lower fascia to attach the plug mount that is included with the Demco Tabless Base Plate Kit # DM77YV. This is a main reason I prefer to use the Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate # RM97RR as they include mounts on their base plate for the wiring/plug mount. There is also a connection for a breakaway cable that comes with a Braking System # SM99251.
If you already have a Demco tow bar we do have the Adapter # DM9523032 you can use to mount to the Roadmaster base plate. Otherwise please let me know what you are towing your 2023 Ford Maverick behind and I can let you know what all components you will need.
