Question:
Hello, I have an Ez loader trailer vin 1ZEAAMPK06A027893 and I want to put disc brakes on instead of the drum brakes with KOD49FR. It currently is set up for oil bath and I would like to keep it that way. Will the KOD49FR work? The axle is rated for 3700 lbs. I am concerned that the inner seal will not fit correctly on the spindle. Do you know if my spindle is 1.72inch diameter from the VIN? Kodiak XL ProLube oil bath kit Seal inner diameter: 1.72 Cap outer diameter: 1.98inch

Expert Reply:
I reached out to EZ Loader who verified your spindles will require the 1.687 Seal # 168255TB. So you would need to change out the seal to use the Kodiak Disc Brakes Kit # KOD49FR you found.
