Question:
Part Number: DE42GR I was wondering if these hubs can be used as oil bath hubs and if so do you have the cap to fit these for the oil bath. My boat currently has oil bath hubs but I need to add a mechanical brake but I dont want to loose the oil bath. Thanks

Hey Danny! You can keep the oil bath and use the DeeMaxx Disc Brake Kit w/ Mechanical Brake # DE42GR. All you need is the Kodiak XL ProLube Kit for 3500-lb Axles # XLPROLUBE1980KIT. The DeeMaxx hub and rotor uses a cap with a 1.98" OD grease cap and GS-1719DL grease seal which matches the Kodiak kit.

Hey Danny, how did the DeeMaxx disc brake kit work out with the Kodiak XL ProLube kit on your boat trailer? It’d be great to hear if you were able to keep the oil bath setup like you wanted. Your update could make it easier for others working on a similar brake upgrade.
