Where Does Running Light Circuit of 2020 Ford Edge Run to Roadmaster Smart Diode Kit

Question:

I have a 2020 ford edge st. I purchased the RO 44FR wiring kit. My question is does it matter which wire I splice into the tail lights or the brake lights. I saw in one of the install videos that there have been problems splicing into the brake light wiring. But not sure if this pertains to the ford edge. I turned on the ignition and located the running light wire. Is this the one I should use for the “car in / car out on the diode connection? Thanks

As long as you find a circuit that that has the running lights and the stoplights on your vehicle that would be all that you would need to run to the diodes of the Roadmaster smart diode kit part # RO44FR. The taillight circuit from your tow vehicle (the motorhome) would run to the middle pin of the diode on the side that has three. On your Ford Edge the wire that runs to your vehicle taillight is the one labeled car brake out.
