I thinking about getting tuson sway control and I’m not sure how the wiring works with my GMC sierra that has a trailer brake control and my trailer that has the brake away system as well

The Tuson Asymmetric Sway Control # 335TSC-1000 will wire onto your trailer and does not wire into you GMC Sierra. It will involve some modification to the trailer brake wiring since the Tucson separates the left brakes from the right to help control the trailer sway. I have linked the installation instructions near the bottom of the page so you can see how it is supposed to be positioned 5-10' behind the hitch.

This will not have any affect on your trailer brake controller as it will still allow power to get to the trailer brakes to safely stop. It will also allow power to the brakes should the break away system become activated.

If you do not feel comfortable splicing into the wiring on your trailer you can also consider the Curt True Course Advanced Bluetooth Trailer Sway Control # C94VV. While this will not work as good as the Tucson it plugs in line using the 7-way connector so you will not have to change any of your trailer brake wiring.
