Draw-Tite offers a Class III hitch, part # 75033 that is a confirmed fit for your truck. The hitch has the same capacity as the one you mentioned, and the hitch is similarly priced. You can see the installation instructions by clicking the provided link.
The Draw-Tite Class III hitch you referenced, part # 75034 fits Chevy C/K Series pick up trucks from 1963-1987, so it is not a fit for your 1996 model.
You might also need the following to complete your towing system:
Trailer Wiring Harness w/ 4-pole trailer connector, part # 118315
Ball Mount, part # 2753
Pin and Clip, part # PC3
Locking Hitch Pin, part # e98882
2 Inch Trailer Ball, part # 63845
1-7/8 Inch Trailer Ball, part # 19260
If you'll be towing a heavier trailer with brakes, you'll also need a brake controller. I'd recommend the Tekonsha Prodigy P2, part # 90885 and the Brake Controller Installation Kit, part # ETBC7.
