Solution for Needing 2 inch Hitch Adapter for Thule T2 XTR Bike Rack

Question:

Hi - I have a 2024 Subaru Crosstrek twith a 2inch hitch - installed by Subaru. I have a Thule T2 Pro XTR 2 Bike Hitch Rack with a 1.25inch post. Will this adapter work so I can use my 1.25inch rack with a 2inch hitch? Thank you,

Since the Thule T2 XTR uses a hitch pin that has an autoattach there isn't a 2 inch hitch adapter like what you mentioned that would work. Best option would be to use a hitch reducer like the part # e58YR.

In regards to not being able to use the Thule T2 XTR. Would this work and bolt into the hitch itself and the only kicker is the hitch pin not having a slot ? Would this adapter attach to the shank regardless? If so I’d use tow chains for the reassurance. I’m having an issue finding an adapter that fits into a sleeve adapter with no play. I’ve bought 2 adapters from you guys and all of them are less than 1 1/14” internally so there is a lot of play within. If I could get a tight fit I wouldn’t mind attaching chains to the hitch itself for the safety.

@MichaelL To get rid of the play in between the hitch and the bike rack what you'd need is an anti-rattle device like the part # 63232 and you'd be set. The bolt on adapter doesn't have the correct bolt holes for the bike rack.
