Question:

I am in need of a 2 5/16 hitch ball for a 2006 Toyota Tundra to haul a horse trailer weighing 6000lbs carrying two horses and gear. Can you please make a couple of recommendations? Thank you,

I can certainly point you in the right direction. Firstly, we suggest checking your owners manual and verifying that you can tow 6,000 lbs with your truck. If it is able to tow 6K or more then we can set you up.

If you do not have a factory hitch, you can use the Curt class 3 hitch # C13180. This hitch can tow up to 6,000 lbs, so just enough for your horse trailer.

As far as a ball mount and 2-5/16" ball I recommend using an adjustable ball mount like the bulletproof hitch # MD206. This is a very solid ball mount and is adjustable to about 8" of rise or drop. We do carry a few other similar ball mounts with different price points. If you want to see some options, here are a few others I recommend:

Buyers Products Adjustable Tri-Ball Mount # 3371802225
Flint Hill Goods Adjustable Steel Ball Mount # FHG79ZR
Gen-Y Adjustable 2-Ball Mount w/ Stacked Receivers # 325-GH-524
