How To Use A Blue Ox SwayPro Weight Distribution On A Camper Or Trailer With C-Channel Frame

Question:
Hi. I just purchased and received the Blue Ox SwayPro Weight Distribution w/ Sway Control - Clamp On - 15,000 lbs GTW, 1,500 lbs TW Item # BLU54TR from you guys and I think I have a problem. My camper doesn't have a box style frame, so it's not like a 2x4 of wood. It has a C-Channel. Hopefully that makes sense. I tried installing the brackets and it doesn't seem like it's going to work without welding on some kind of block or tab, which I do not have the capacity to do. Can I still use this system or do I need to return it and go another way? Would prefer to not have to do that as this really is what I wanted and it will be perfect for my weight needs and all that. Please help!

You are definitely correct in that the # BXW4010 Clamp-On Brackets that come with the Blue Ox SwayPro # BLU54TR are not going to be a good option for your camper. However, we do have what you need to make this work.
What you are looking for is the Blue Ox Signature Series Lift Brackets # BXW4021. These will fit all models of SwayPro and can either be clamped around the frame with the included hardware, or bolted through the frame (though this way will require drilling through said frame). This includes all hardware to accomplish either install as well, so no need to go to the hardware store for more stuff.
The only thing you will need to verify is that your frame is no more than 6" tall if you wanted to go with the clamp around install as this is the maximum it will clamp around. If you C-Channel is taller than that, you will need to go the drilling and bolt-on route.
