Question:

Kevin C. told me that Sumo springs would help my 2018 Keystone Bullet Crossfire 2070BH with sway. I think as long as I do that I should replace the suspension parts with new Equalizers and Bushings and Wet bolts. Dexter suggested K71-656-06 but there seems to be a lot of moving parts. Ive never seen one on a trailer so I cant imagine how it works. Please explain it to me. Can you suggest something else if I am wrong? Thanks

To determine the correct replacement equalizers, bushing, wet bolts, shackles straps, etc. you'll need to do a bit of measuring first. The manufacturer designed the suspension to sit in a specific way so that it can roll back and forth so it's important to match the factory sizes.

Starting with the equalizer you'll want to measure from the center to center of the shackle strap holes (horizontal) and from center of the shackle strap hole to the hanger bolt hole (vertical). You'll want to want to also check you axle's for their capacity and choose an equalizer that matches this and the hole to hole measurements. Upgraded equalizers like the MORryde # MR87ZR, for example, have built in rubber dampeners to help absorb road shock as well.

The shackle straps are easy, you'll just measure from center to center of the eyelets. if you still have to bolts in place you can just measure from center to center of the bolts, same for the equalizers. Depending on the measurement you find you could upgrade to thicker shackle straps and wets bolts like the MORryde # MR76ZR.
